French Schengen Visas : biometric visas enforced in October 2012
Since October 2nd 2012, France as all Schengen states have started collecting biometric data of all visa applicants.
Every applicant bound to France as his main destination must appear in person at the Visa Application Center to submit his application file and have his finger prints and photo taken at the booth ‘’France’’ of the Visa Application Center “SolexPlus/El Etimad”. There is no exception to this rule.
To introduce a visa application, an appointment must be made first.
To obtain a visa appointment, applicants should use the online-only procedure of the Visa Application Center’s website (www.aletimad.com).
The French Consulate inform all applicants that their passports will be delivered by the Visa Application Center only, after due processing.
Depending on the nationality, the processing time may vary (i. e. 8 days after the submission of the visa application file for Saudi passports).
The French Consulate dont provide passports delivery service. No passport can be picked up at its premises.
