Mr. Mostafa MIHRAJE assumed his duties as Consul General of France in Jeddah on January 2, 2018. He is in charge of the protection of French nationals residing in the district of western Saudi Arabia, or passing through. He is also the Special Envoy of France to the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation based in Jeddah) and contributes, in coordination with the Embassy of France in Riyadh, to the promotion of the influence and attractiveness of France in his constituency.
Doctor in Public Law (1985) and holder of a DESS in Business Administration (1986), he began his career in the private sector (1986-1992), then taught law and Insurance Law (1992-1994), before joining the Ministry of National Education (1994-2005) where he assumed the duties of administrative and financial manager of a Public Administrative Institution (IUFM Basse-Normandie).
Counselor for Foreign Affairs (Middle East) in 2005, he was editor at the Directorate of Legal Affairs, Sub-Directorate of Human Rights (2005-2008), Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of France in Libya (2008-2011), long-term missionary in Rabat (2011) and again Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of France in Jordan (2011-2014). Before joining Jeddah, he was head of Human Resources Department and deputy director of the personnel.
Mostafa MIHRAJE is married and has two daughters. He speaks English and Arabic (literal, oriental and Maghrebi) and is Chevalier of the National Order of Merit.
