11/12/2017 – “Albert Camus and the tragedy of happiness” : Second screening as part of the Documentary Film Month in Jeddah
The Cultural department of the Consulate General of France in Jeddah has hosted on November 12th the screening of “Albert Camus and the tragedy of happiness” as part of the 18th edition of the Documentary Film Month jointly organized with Images en Bibliothèque and Institut Français. The theme chosen by the Cultural department for Jeddah this year is “Documentary and portraiture: 4 French icons”. The four documentaries that will be screened will pay tribute to four prominent artists of France, all of them iconic in their own field.
“Albert Camus and the tragedy of happiness” was directed in 1999 by Jean Daniel and Joël Calmettes. Almost 30 people attended this screening, among which some students from the French International School in Jeddah
Two other screenings are planned at the French Consulate in Jeddah as part of the Documentary Film Month:
-  11/19/2017 at 8. pm: “Bardot a misunderstanding”
-  11/26/2017 at 8. pm: “Relieve, a story of creation”
